Our client are a leading super prime contractor that specialises in delivering high-end residential projects. They are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team and lead the commercial management of a prestigious 20,000sqft client build mansion in Surrey.
**Job Summary:**
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading the commercial management of a flagship project, a luxurious 20,000sqft client build mansion in Surrey. You will be responsible for managing the project’s budget, ensuring cost control, and providing expert commercial advice to the project team.
**Responsibilities:**
* Lead the commercial management of the project, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
* Prepare and manage project budgets, including forecasting and cash flow management
* Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimise potential risks
* Provide expert commercial advice to the project team, including the Project Manager, Architects, and Engineers
* Manage and coordinate the work of junior quantity surveyors and other commercial staff
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
* Identify and pursue opportunities for cost savings and value engineering
* Manage and resolve commercial disputes and claims
**Requirements:**
* Degree qualified
* 10 years experience in Quantity Surveying, with a focus on high-end residential projects
* Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects with complex budgets
* Excellent commercial and financial management skills
* Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of quantity surveyors
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and construction industry software, such as Asta Powerproject or similar
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines
