Barratt Redrow confirms board changes as integration nears completion

Barratt Redrow has announced the forthcoming departure of Redrow chief executive Matthew Pratt as the integration of the two housebuilders approaches completion.

Pratt will leave the board and his role on 30 June 2025. He will remain available to the business until the end of that year. The change follows a phased merger process between Barratt Developments and Redrow, which was completed in August 2024 and received regulatory approval two months later.

His exit comes shortly before the retirement of group chief operating officer Steven Boyes, who will step down on 6 September 2025.

From that point, the board’s executive directors will be Barratt group chief executive David Thomas and chief financial officer Mike Scott.

Thomas said Pratt had played a “key role” in the merger’s smooth delivery. “Following a successful 22-year career at Redrow plc, including five years as CEO prior to the combination, Matthew has had a key role in the smooth and effective integration of Barratt and Redrow,” he said.

Pratt said it had been a “privilege” to work with Redrow and contribute to the integration. “I wish Barratt Redrow every success as it embarks on this exciting new chapter,” he said.
