Ardmore Construction Ltd files for administration

50-year-old firm specialises in residential and commercial jobs

Ardmore Construction Ltd has filed a notice of intent to appoint an administrator, according to court records.

The firm, which was set up in 1974, filed the notice yesterday.

It is understood other parts of the group, which includes its major projects and fit out business, are not affected by the move.

In a statement, administrator Begbies Traynor said: “We can confirm that Dominik Czerwinke and Jamie Taylor of Begbies Traynor and Jason Callender of Panos Eliades Callender & Co were appointed Joint Administrators of Ardmore Construction Limited on 28 August 2025.”

In the past year year, Ardmore Construction Ltd has faced claims from several housebuilders, including Barratt, Bellway and Taylor Wimpey, at the Technology and Construction Court. These are thought to relate to fire safety remediation work.

In its last set of accounts, the firm saw turnover slide a quarter to £313m in the year to September 2023 and a pre-tax loss of £14m from a £2.8m profit last time. Its liability provisions went up to £110m during the period from £59m last time.
