Role Overview
As an Assistant Site Manager, reporting to the Project Lead, you will manage various aspects of a construction development site. Your responsibilities will include ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, maintaining high-quality work standards, and delivering exceptional customer service within set timescales.
Key Responsibilities
– Support the Site Manager in daily site operations, providing clear direction to on-site personnel.
– Assist in implementing health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
– Motivate and manage site staff, offering training and support to enhance performance.
– Maintain site presentation standards and ensure all production requirements are met in accordance with technical and planning documentation.
– Ensure compliance with building regulations and warranty providers’ requirements.
– Maintain accurate site records, including reports, labour requirements, and health and safety records.
– Oversee remedial work to ensure completion before NHBC key stage inspections.
Required Experience and Skills
– Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a high-volume residential housebuilder.
– Proven ability to manage teams effectively.
– Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
– Strong communication, administration, and IT skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
– GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
– Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certificate, and First Aid certificate.
– HNC Level 4 in Construction Management; HND and Scaffold Appreciation certificate are desirable.
